Move over, Jaden. Will Smith’s daughter, Willow Smith, wants to be in the spotlight too. According to The Huffington Post, the nine year-old has signed a recording deal with Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation and has released her first single this week. Jay-Z says it’s rare to find an artist with such talent and creativity at Willow’s age. Ya think?
The song, “Whip My Hair,” tells of the little tyke’s “swagger” as she – you guessed it – whips her hair back and forth. The single sounds really produced, the girl has a nice voice, a bit reminiscent of Rihanna. Take a listen:
Other pint-sized singers making headlines lately include 10 year-old Jackie Evancho, who’s in the final four of America’s Got Talent for her angelic, operatic voice. And then there’s 12 year-old Greyson Michael Chance, who appeared on Ellen back in May and inspired her to create a record label just for him!
So congrats, Willow. You’re the youngest singing sensation!

Seriously? Since when does a 9 year old have “swagger?”
