Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza Welcome Baby Girl

It’s a girl for Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza! People Magazine reports that the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, Gia Francesca Lopez, in Burbank, California, on Saturday. The baby weighed 6 lbs., 4 oz., and mother and daughter are reportedly doing well.

“We are so overjoyed,” Lopez, 36, told Extra. “What an amazing, wonderful and overwhelming experience to welcome our daughter into the world.” Awwww. That baby’s gonna be adorable!

Earlier this year, the Extra host said he was helping Mazza, 28, fatten up during her pregnancy. ”I’m constantly trying to feed her because I want to have a really healthy, chubby baby,” he said.

Mario also said he planned to write a book and create a reality show about being a dad for the first time. ”There’s so much out there for women but not so much for men, and I want to be a very hands-on dad,” he said. “I think having a humorous but informative way to tell that story would be great for a show.” Sounds good, but don’t you think you’ll be busy enough, Mario?

Mario tweeted about the reality show: They want to call the VH1 show ‘Mario Lopez: Saved by the Baby’. Makes me laugh when I say it out loud which is good since the show’s funny.”
