Jennifer Lopez WILL Judge American Idol
The ink is reportedly just drying on Jennifer Lopez’s American Idol contract. The singer has signed a 1-year deal with Idol for “a little more than $12 million,” TMZ has confirmed.
Previously thought to be out of the running for making outrageous “diva demands” sources connected with the show reveal that Jenny From The Block has continued to be in the running for the coveted gig all along.
In fact, Fox executives are beginning to think that people with a grudge against American Idol have been planting the negative stories as a way to sabotage the show. Producers are also standing behind their diva star, saying that they believe J.LO is the key to re-energizing the show.
Fox insists that negotiations have actually been “normal” and included both a movie component and the possibility of other TV projects, however the focus has always been American Idol.
