Jennifer Grey Talks Patrick Swayze: Dancing with the Stars Performance (Watch)!
Jennifer Grey, the woman who stole the hearts of millions as Frances “Baby” Houseman in the hit movie Dirty Dancing continues to steal the hearts of millions as a contestant in the new season of Dancing with the Stars.
During rehearsals (which were taped for tonight’s premiere), Jennifer broke down into tears as she remembered her time dancing with Patrick Swayze. She told the cameras how she missed him so much and how dancing for this show takes her back in time to when she danced with Patrick for the movie.
“Patrick was one of the most fearless people I have ever met so I’m just going to try and go out there and do the best I can,” Jennifer said just before taking the stage.
Jennifer performed with Derek Hough and received great comments from the judges. Here are what the judges had to say about Jennifer’s performance:
Bruno: “Someone up there is going to be very very proud of you.”
Carrie Ann: “Something very profound just happened…some things get better with age and I think you’re one of them.”
Len: Len didn’t comment or make any remarks regarding Patrick Swayze. Could it be that Len (and even fans) feel as though Jennifer is using her connection with Patrick to sway votes for the show? I’m not saying either way but what I do think is that Jennifer Grey has the potential to go quite far this season as long as she doesn’t use the guilt card.
