Joaquin Phoenix on David Letterman 2010 vs. 2009 (Watch)!
Everyone remembers Joaquin Phoenix’s puzzling appearance on David Letterman in 2009 but, after revealing his behavior was all a hoax, it was equally intriguing to watch him on the show last night.
Earlier this week, Joaquin revealed that the 2009 appearance was a hoax and everyone was interested to find out the details behind the joke. Turns out, it was all part of the research process for his new documentary I’m Still Here.
During his interview with Letterman last night, Joaquin was normal, poised and well spoken. There was one moment when Joaquin bent over and looked under David’s desk, at which point David said “Don’t go South on me tonight,” and Phoenix revealed he was looking for the gum he had stuck under there last time.
