Mark your calendars! We hear that comedian Russell Brand and his fiancée, pop star Katy Perry, have begun alerting friends of their upcoming nuptials which are rumored to take place later this month in India.
The pair had only been dating a little over two months when Russell popped the question during a pilgrimage in the East Indian city of Jaipur last year – now we hear the couple has a seven-day long celebration planned, in Delhi, India.
Wedding planner to the stars, Mindy Weiss is reportedly on hand to create their Bollywood meets Hollywood dream celebration.
A source told The Mirror [via MTV UK], “It will be a mix of traditional Hollywood glamor with Katy’s hair and dress, plus Indian touches like henna art on her hands and feet, and Indian tiara and hair brooches.”
Meanwhile, their guests – rumored to include, Rihanna and Taylor Swift – are expected to attend the ceremony empty handed. Katy and Russell have said they do not want wedding gifts, instead that they will donate any money they receive to charity.
“Katy has got a good job and I’ve got a good job,” Russell explained. “It seems indulgent to ask for more things, so we’re going to do something worthwhile and humane with any money people want to give us.”
