Roberto Alomar’s wife, Maria Del Pilar Rivera Alomar (try saying that 5 times fast) is making headlines after filing divorce papers that claim her husband had sex with her while knowing (and before telling her) he was HIV-positive.
The papers claim that Roberto “knew prior to his first sexual contact with her that he was HIV-positive” the New York post wrote today.
Alomar, who was one of the best pro baseball players of the 90’s, has been accused of this before. In 2008, another former girlfriend of Roberto’s filed a lawsuit claiming he had unprotected sex with her without disclosing he had HIV.
The $15 million lawsuit was later dropped and Maria (who was happily with Roberto at the time) called the suit “a vile lie.”
How ironic that Maria would be filing a suit for the same thing she called “a vile lie” two years ago.
Looks like this bitter divorce battle is about to get even nastier…question is: Who’s telling the truth?
