Miley Cyrus’ New Video “Who Owns My Heart” Upsets Parents (WATCH!)

Miley Cyrus can’t be tamed. When will parents understand that?? Entertainment Weekly reports that the Parents Television Council has officially denounced her new video “Who Owns My Heart,” in which the 17 year-old gyrates on a bed before going out to a club. There is also some self-breast massaging involved. Check it out:

“It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one,” said Tim Winter, president of the Council. “It sends messages to her fanbase that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fanbase so rapidly.”

In a recent YouTube video, Miley explained her video to her fans: “I’m just living life. I’m just like y’all!”

What do you think of the new video? Too risque? Considering she’s also been criticized for her Britian’s Got Talent performance, her “Can’t Be Tamed” video and her “pole dancing” at the Teen Choice Awards, she can’t win with the parents groups…and I don’t think she cares.

  1. I think the real scandal here is how terrible this song is, not what a slut she looks like. I mean honestly this song makes me want to vomit. And her hair and outfits are gross too. Miley, I know you want to grow up and escape from Disney and everything, but at least try and look somewhat respectable without hair that looks like a rat’s nest and massive shoulerpads. Thanks.

  2. It is obvious she has moved on to a new place, her life, her career, her choice.

  3. Wow…is anybody really surprised? Every kid who’s parents push them down the road of fame come out screwed up…why would she be any different?

  4. p.s..makes me glad I never spent a penny on her concerts for my daughter…and she’s better off never having gone. Now if I could just get her to stop watching those stupid reruns. Miley bipolar Cyrus…good girl to wanna be slut in 1.1 seconds.

  5. What is the big deal here? She is not 14 anymore. She won’t please everyone. She has to find her own way, her own power, make her own choices and mistakes like every human being on the planet. Her life just happens to be in the public. Even so, the public doesn’t own her, I say do your thing.

  6. I dnt see whats so wrong with it. she doesnt look like a slut. i think she was just trying to show her self growing up to everyone. i dnt think she will turn out like so many singers. Just becuase they turned out that way dnt mean everyone that becomes a singer will. so y dnt u back off and just let her do her own thing.

  7. i agree i am a preteen and i think its slutty. i dont like what mileys become. i used to like her. besides shes too skinny and bony to pull off any sexy outfits. Take your bony ass back to disney i say!

  8. i dont see a problem with this video all you dumb ass parents dont let your lil ones watch the video, shes not trying to please anyone, shes older and singing for the older kids my daughter loves her she just cant watch the videos,i love her too

  9. my problem is why is it that all these parents wanna stuff these celebs down they kids throat as role models….be you own kids damn role model..sit your kids down talk to them ,just as miley is GROWING UP so are your kids, suppressing they growth and individuality is just gonna make the rebel plus it up to us as parents to show and teach them whats acceptable or not..the live in our house under our roofs…..not in mansions and tour bus …..so come on PARENTS AND GET REAL

  10. she is 17 yrs old, her music is not targeting little girls anymore so, why are kids listening to this. there is much worst music being played on the radio, so should we cover our kids ears and pretend that the day and age we live in is not over the top sexualized. I think as long we provide our kids with good advice and discipline miley and all this other artist won’t have more influence than our parenting skills.
