It’s been a year, and Tyler and Catelynn are preparing to see their daughter Carly for the first time since giving her up for adoption. As they start out on the drive from Michigan to West Virginia, they realize that they’re going to see their real daughter, not just a picture, and start freaking out. It’s cute – and Carly’s adorable.
Catelynn got to hold Carly for the first time since she was born, and Tyler, Catelynn and Carly snapped lots of pictures together. Back at their hotel, Tyler and Catelynn work hard to finish their scrapbook, which really thrills Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Theresa.
Tyler and Catelynn wish their parents could be as good as Carly’s parents, and frankly we don’t blame them.
It’s a little sad when the time comes to say goodbye, but at least we know Carly will grow up knowing that her biological parents really love her.
Farrah’s relationship with her Mom is getting better, and her Mom even sets her up on a date with a boy, Julian. They hit a rough patch as Farrah questions her decisions to move into her family’s rental house, but ultimately they hug it out – and Julian calls! That seemed to help in lifting her spirits.
Amber appears to have already moved on from Gary with Chris – that guy from Wal-Mart. Of course, he’s got no money and no job so Amber lets him move in. And, of course, Gary is not pleased. Gary and Amber try to work out a visitation schedule for Leah. They argue, and fail to come to any actual conclusions regarding their daughter, but finally admit that they both want each other to be happy.
Macy is bummed after her break up with Kyle, but has been pleased that she and Ryan have worked out custody of Bentley like adults. But not so fast – Ryan has decided he wants to change their agreement, and they end up in mediation. Eventually, Maci lets Ryan have the extra day of custody he’s asking for because she feels it’s good for their son. Maci and Ryan tell each other that they have both split from their other partners and appear to toy with the idea of getting back together for Bentley. However, they both agree that it won’t work if they’re both going to be unhappy.
Next week the cast of Teen Mom sits down with Dr. Drew for the reunion special on MTV.
