“Had some bad news to deal with today,” Kelsey tweeted Thursday after it was announced that his third wife, Camille had filed for divorce.
“Things fell apart between us. That is all. Camille did not want this but has made a very difficult decision and I respect her for it.”
Their relationship allegedly took a hit when Camille toyed with the idea of joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, though a source close to the family tells the New York Daily News their difference of opinion on the issue was nothing major.
“[Kelsey] is a control freak, so he didn’t like her joining the show. But this is still a surprise,” the source said.
However, after it was revealed that Kelsey was having an affair with a young woman while appearing on Broadway in New York, and later, that the woman was pregnant (the pregnancy ended after a miscarriage) Camille found comfort among her Real Housewives co-stars.
“I’m glad that I decided to do the show because it’s been a diversion,” Camille said in an interview with the associated press [via PopEater]. “I have these wonderful, five, very strong, successful women right there supporting me through this.”
Camille is asking for physical custody of her two children with the Frasier star, spousal support, and a division of property.
Kelsey and Camille married in 1997 after meeting on a blind date.

Unfortunately, I’ve seen Camille on that Real Houswives show. OMG, but is she a raving self-centered B or what! She acts all innocent and talks about how women are jealous of her. I can’t believe how truly warped she is. She gives women a bad name with all of her ‘women are jealous of me’ talk. From what I can see, she is not anything that would cause an self-respecting lady to be jealous…unless it was that she HAD been married to a really good actor. Thank goodness we are NOT who we marry. Is she only on the show because of her husband? Did you see her primping in front of all the men around her and hanging onto them and talking about her old looking breasts being so ‘perfect’. Oh please. She is must be her own best admirer. I guess she’s the one-to-hate on that show. She is the one with the least value in the show. It would be nice to see her go. I would think that Kelsey Grammer may have thought the same thing.
