Celine Dion Hospitalized to Prevent Premature Labor
Celine Dion – who is pregnant with twins – has been admitted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Flordia. The Huffington Post/AP report that the singer was hospitalized to make sure she’s near her doctors leading up to the babies’ birth. Her rep said she is due to deliver the twins early next month, according to a statement from the hospital.
Celine announced earlier this year that she’s pregnant with two boys. She and her husband Rene Angelil, have a 9 year-old son, Rene Charles, and have tried for years to have more children. “We would love to expand our family. But honestly I’m more than blessed with my son. He is everything for me,” Celine said last year before becoming pregnant.
Last year, the singer got pregnant through a frozen embryo, but didn’t carry the baby to term. Her upcoming twins are practically a miracle, since Celine tried in-vetro fertilization four times and failed. “Five’s my lucky number, so this is the time it’s got to [work],” Celine said. “We would love for my son to have a brother or sister—no rats, no dogs, no fish can replace that, you know? But you don’t control. It’s up to God…. One way or another we’re going to be good.”
