As her marriage crumbled, Christina Aguilera turned to gal pal Samantha Ronson for emotional support, Radar Online is reporting. “They’ve known each other forever and they’re good friends,” a source close to the singer told the website.
However, from there Radar implies that Christina and Samantha’s friendship has grown into something more. “Christina and Sam grew closer as her marriage crumbled, and eventually, Jordan [Bratman] found himself unnecessary in his wife’s life.”
The website goes on to report that Christina often picked up women to “play” with. In fact, the pop star herself told Out Magazine in May, “My husband knows that I get into girls. I think it’s fun to be open and play.”
So is a budding Aguilera-Ronson relationship the reason for Christina’s divorce? The story appears to line up with previous reports, which indicate that Christina cheated on Jordan.
However, the New York Post is reporting that Christina’s split from her husband has less to do with another woman, and more with the poor response to her latest album Bionic.
According to one of their sources, “[Christina] feels that [Jason] held her back when she wanted to focus more on her career.”
Still, the Post acknowledges that the singer has been hanging out with a “wilder” crowd since her divorce, which includes the celebrity DJ.
