Emerging from her trailer on the set of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Rooney Mara is barely recognizable. The actress has drastically changed her look for the much anticipated film, transforming herself into the main character, computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (pictured right).
Rooney wasted no time dying her hair jet black for the role and chopped off her long locks in favor of a shorter, cropped ‘do. Hollywood Life is reporting that the young actress has even pierced her nipples for a topless scene in the film.
A source tells Fox News that Rooney is spending most of her down time in Sweden holed up in her hotel room, as director David Fincher is determined to keep her edgy look under wraps.
“She is in lockdown,” the insider said. “David [Fincher] is determined to keep her out of sight as much as possible to keep her look under wraps.”
But seriously, pierced nipples? Ouch!
