Kim Kardashian turns 30 today, and she’s doing it in style. Celebrating with a party at Glo nightclub in New York on Saturday, Radar Online reports that Kim will be taking a bite out of a whole lot of dough.
A jeweler is planning to present the reality star with a cake encrusted with loose diamonds worth over a million dollars. “Their goal is to break the record for the most expensive cake ever made which was 1.65 million dollars,” Glo spokesperson Danielle Orsino said.
The expensive cake is reportedly the brainchild of Nino Selimaj, a restaurateur known for his grand food-related publicity stunts.
Million dollar cake aside, all eyes will be on Kim and rumored new beau John Mayer. Will he make an appearance at her birthday party? That depends how their date went the other night.
The New York Post writes that John may have his eye on the sexy star of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.’ A source tells the paper, “They brought along other friends, but the idea was to see if they would hit it off.”
Reps for John and Kim have refused to comment on the story, however, Kim has made no secret of wanting to date more while filming ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York’ in Manhattan.

I hope Kim dating John is true. They would make an interesting and sultry couple. I just wish the money spent on a dumb cake would be given to people and charities in need.
