It’s the day Taylor Swift fans have been waiting for all year. Today, the vengeful singer releases her new album Speak Now and the album is anticipated to be the best one yet.
The new CD has been sparking publicity over the past few months. From her songs Dear John (reportedly about John Mayer), Mean (reportedly about Joe Jonas), Innocent (about Kanye West) and Better than Revenge (reportedly about Camilla Belle, the girl who dated Joe after Taylor), there’s no shortage of dirty laundry airing out with this release.
Some of the lyrics go into specific detail about Taylor’s relationships with these high profile stars, specifically these lyrics from Dear John:
“Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with, the girl in the dress, cried the whole way home. Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with, the girl in the dress wrote you a song. You should have known. Don’t you think I was too young. You should have known.”
And these Better than Revenge lyrics:
“She’s not a saint, she’s not what you think, she’s an actress. Whoa. She’s better known for the things that she does on the mattress. Whoa. Soon she’s gonna find, stealing other people’s toys on the playground won’t make you any friends. She should keep in mind, she should keep in mind, there’s nothing I do better than revenge.”
We’re guessing many of you have bought the album (even though it’s only been on sale for a few hours), so let us know what you think of Taylor Swift’s Speak Now. Is it as good as the others or is Taylor getting too personal with this one?

I like it but i don’t love it like I loved fearless. Maybe it’s just because i havent listened to it enough but she talks too much about her personal relationships that its hard to identify my own with the songs. They already have their stories (especially when she uses real names). I don’t know, just my opinion but right now i dont like it as much as her first 2.
Brittney, I’m sorry but I completely disagree with you. This album is amazing and by far her best one yet. Her stories make it easier to identify with her and make me feel better knowing other ppl are going through the same things as I am. and calling other people out is amazing. As taylor likes to say, she’s been doing it for years now, these people should know better than to screw her over. that said, i’d be afraid to date her (if I was a guy) and i dont forsee any relationships for taylor in the near future. not after this album.
Its an amazing album. she’s one of few singers who writes their own songs and releases albums with substance. i think this album is going to do better than her others. way to go taylor! you should be proud of yourself!

I think Taylor’s new album is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I can relate to just about every song Taylor has ever written. She is one amazing person as well as singer. I consider her as one of my rolemodels. LOVE YOU TAYLOR! YOU’RE AMAZING!

The songs may be good and kudos for writing them by herself. The downfall tho is the fact that my duaghters absolutely LOVE her and I really dont think I can buy this album for them. Maybe purchase a download of a song or two, but not the cd.

You can’t really blame her for writing about real people and things that have happened to her. I mean, if you wrote your own songs, what would you write them about? Imaginary events?
I love this album. I have all of her albums and I think this one is definatley more personal but hey why should she not write about her life thats what we love her for. she’s honest and I think that’s a great quality to have!!
