Obama on The Daily Show! (WATCH!)

President Obama has had a tough couple of years. From the usual conservative opponents to his idealist supporters who aren’t satisfied with how quickly changes are happening, he’s struggling to convince everyone that his policies ARE working, that we avoided what could have been a much worse economic downturn, and that we need to be patient when it comes to changing the culture of Washington.

Obama appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night, and was refreshingly honest about everything that’s happened. Take a look:

“I’m feeling great about where the American people are considering what they’ve gone through,” the President said. We’ve gone through the two toughest years since anytime since the Great Depression.” Still, he thinks there is plenty to be proud of: “I look over the last 18 months, and I say, we prevented a second Great Depression. We’ve stabilized the economy – an economy that was shrinking is now growing. We’ve got 9 months of consecutive private sector job growth, we have passed historic health care reform, historic financial regulatory reform.”

And here’s part two, about the health care bill:

Go Obama! Yes, we’re having tough times, but Obama inherited all of these problems, and he can only tackle one thing at a time. When we look back on his presidency we’re going to be proud of these reforms – and he’s not done!
