Ughh. 
This is just awful news!
Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey have been dating since 2006 (shortly after Nick’s highly publicized divorce from Jessica Simpson) and their finally ready to take their relationship to the next level.
The duo announced the news in a joint statement that read:
“We’re excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together.”
Afterwards, Nick solidified the news with this message to his fans via Twitter:
“Hey all. If anyone’s heard the rumors of my engagement, they are absolutely true! Vanessa and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks for all the love.”
Well, Nick, sorry to disappoint but there’s no love on this end. A little tiny piece of me (and millions of other Nick/Jess fans) still believed that you and Jessica would get back together. Since reading the news, that little tiny piece of me still exists, however, now (if you two actually make it to the altar) the only reality is that by the time you marry Jessica again, you’ll be on your third marriage. Sad, really.
Over the years, Vanessa has had no shame in revealing her desperation to tie the knot. In an interview last year, Vanessa said “Once again it looks as if I’m always the bridesmaid but never the bride.”
Hopefully, that will remain true.
Jessica, who is dating football star Eric Johnson, has yet to comment on the situation but I’m pretty sure she won’t take the news lightly. Sure, she’ll likely release a statement saying she’s happy for her ex-husband and his fame-whore of a fiance but deep down she’ll be crushed (just like we are).
Jess (and fellow Nick and Jessica fans) rest assured: this is only an engagement – the two aren’t married yet!

The “fame whore” is Jessica Simpson. So very happy that Nick has found a beautiful, intelligent mate. They will definitely make it. So happy for them.

This is all PR from NICK & timing.. He needed attention as he has a show end of month coming out & he knows Jessica has two very public upcoming events coming up in two weeks. By doing what NICK did he now draws the attention to him & when Jessica does any upcoming interviews the focus will be that question to her about NICK.
Nick is vendictive. Thinks about it people. Jessica is fine.
I really doubt that Nick would PROPOSE to his girlfriend of four years so he can get some media attention…he is not vindictive..he never wanted to break up tih jessica, it was all her and she is not fine
Although Nick maybe engaged to Vanessa, I know he still has feeling and love for Jessica because he did not want the divorce, Jessica did. Eventhough the media says Vanessa is beautiful and Nick lucked out, Jessica is also beautiful and nothing to sneeze at. I believe her father and other outside influences led to their breakup. Maybe they both learned from that and are moving on. The fact Vanessa had stuck with Nick all this time tells Nick she really loves him. Hopefully everyone will be happy.
If jess isn’t happy about it she has no one to blame but herself. Nick would have stayed with her forever. But Jess and Nick have been divorced for four years. The whole Jess and Nick thing is over.Thanks to Jess’s dad influences on her. It’s time for People to get over it and move on. So that being said. Congrats to Nick and Vanessa. Have a happy life and start having adorable babies.
Vanessa is a home wrecking slut! And Nick is no better. Jessica and Nick hadn’t even announced they were divorced yet when Nick goes on TRL and starts BLATANTLY flirting with Vanessa. Its always the sluts, home wreckers and the like that end up with the blessings. Its sad. These two deserve each other. Two D level nobodys trying to gain the spot light.
FIRST of all and foremost if you some of you weren’t so busy trying to state your opinions instead of getting your facts straight then you would KNOW that Jessica could give two f’s about Nick Lachey’s engagement to Vanessa Millino, she’s actually happy for them and hopes that they have a happy life together! It is obvious to me that even if Nick didn’t want to get a divorce with Jessica but Jessica wanted the divorce that it was for a reason because out of the blue he’s with little miss nobody from TRL (when it was actually in style but still not worth watching anymore)that really makes me stop and think that maybe he wasn’t faithful at all to begin with and yes I have to agree with whoever wrote this their marriage probably will not last and noone likes Nick Lachey anyways because he’s a nobody just like his attention-craving fiancé.
