Bristol Palin DWTS 2010 Safe Again, Kurt Warner Eliminated – WTF?

As we mentioned earlier today, Bristol Palin may arguably be the worst contestant to ever grace the Dancing with the Stars stage (except for Kate Gosselin, of course). She can’t dance, she isn’t charming and yet she’s seemed to find a way to squeak through another week, leaving Brandy and Kurt Warner in the bottom 2 tonight.

The 20-year-old mom has a ton of fans who have kept her in the competition this long and it seems as though unwarranted high scores from the judges and incessant voting from Republican supporters are keeping this wannabe dancer alive. The truth is, she isn’t good enough to be in the competition at this point – in fact, her time ran out about 4 weeks ago.

It is amazing to me that entertaining, talented dancers like Audrina Patridge and Rick Fox (and now, Kurt Warner) were eliminated before Bristol, who is clearly surviving week-to-week because of the millions of Republicans who support her mother.

I’m really not trying to bring politics into the situation because this show is not about politics at all. It is, however, about popularity and everyone knows that the only reason Bristol has made it as far as she has is because of the popularity of her famous (albeit widely controversial) mom.

So do I wish that Bristol was booted off the show this week? Yes. Does it have anything to do with her being Sarah Palin’s daughter? No (despite the comments I know I will get from some of you). She is a horrible dancer who has done nothing to earn the privilege to stay each week. I would say the same about Mike Sorrentino if he was still on the show.

Do you agree? Did Bristol deserve to advance to next week while Kurt was eliminated?

  1. You’re just another liberal hater. Remove yourself from the discontent you’re feeling about your inferior position in life and maybe you’ll see things from a better perspective. Or shall I just say, an honest perspective.

  2. If Bristol Palin has any self respect, should would just drop out of this competition. Bristol, the PALIN family, and the Tea party has made a mockery of dancining with the stars. It’s unfair that good dancers are sent home each week because her fanbase (and i use the term loosely) votes for her.

  3. Look at the open DWTS thread at Conservatives4Palin on Mon and you’ll see how the pro-palin blogs are pushing and “padding” votes for Bristol.

  4. Time for DWTS to face up to it that their voting system does not work. B. Palin should have been eliminated at least 3 weeks ago. For the last 3 weeks much better dancers were eliminated only because Palin has the Tea Party fanatics making robo type calls to DWTS to make sure she does not lose. Wake up ABC DWTS is becoming nothing more than a joke. What a waste.

  5. Way to go Bristol. Hope you win it all. I say get rid of the “head case” divas. I would have like to have seen Kurt, Kyle, and Bristol in the finals. Now that would have been entertaining.
Palin 2010…. has a nice ring don’t you think?

  6. Bristol sucks so bad at dancing it’s unbelievable that anyone would have wanted her to be on the show, much less kept her in the top three. ABC needs to take back control of this show and kick off this talentless daughter of a moron.

This simply proves that Republicans can do two things: 1. complain nonstop about liberals even though they cannot explain what liberalism actually is (see posting from Ebenz above) and 2. rig elections.

Sorry Aayles, I went political. But I didn’t start it, it was already “broughten.”

  7. Hell no she should have been one of the first contestants to be sent home

  8. At this point I am so disgusted that I hope this poor clueless little twit (can’t help but believe she is being manipulated by her Momma Grizzly) wins. Then, let the powers that be at DWTS explain how this show has anything remotely to do with dancing any more. IMO, they should stay away from anyone even remotely political, This is supposed to be entertainment — and now the tea baggers have turned even this once fun and entertaining show into another “we don’t care what it is, we gotta win” face off. What a shame.

  9. You’re all a bunch of assholes on this board. Fuck off losers!

  10. Simply astonishing. Just like Kate Gosslyn lasting as long as she did. The show is clearly not about who’s the best dancer, but who people are interested in seeing (for whatever reason) week after week. But come on, it was going to be either Kurt or Bristol this week anyway, She’ll get dumped next week.

  11. Carol you are absolutely right

  12. I will not be a viewer of this program anymore. I have watched this show from season 1 but ABC has lost all my respect as a respectable show. Palin is the worst dancer and ABC should remove just out of respect for the actual stars that deserve to be there. She SUCKS!!!

  13. Absolutely disgusting that Palin and Mama continue to hang around! Shame on you ABC and DWTS-Viewers should boycott your show! Palin should have never been there-much less now-she is so fat and lazy that Ballas could not even lift her- hence the chair lift??

  14. another grizzly says:

Oh yeah, all you liberals would just LOVE for Bristol to quit, so you can call her a quitter like her mother, right? She can’t win with you ppl, she’s darned if she does, and darned if she doesn’t. Well suck it liberals…. we’re going to continue to fight you – both at the ballot box and on the dance floor. You can go lick your wounds and seeth all you want, but we’re here, we’re not going away and we’re going to vote for Bristol if she just stands there and only stares into the camera. Her dancing ability is irrelevant at this point. Our main goal now is simply to pi$$ you libs off!

  15. Why do you liberals hate so much… It just shocks me at your hatred and discontent within yourselves. Your incessant biggotted behavior and slamming the tea party referring to them as “tea baggers”… a sexual slur. You are such a disappointment to the human race. I will say a prayer for you.

  16. Keep going Bristol….to h— with the non-believers of the obvious support you are getting from the TV viewers.

  17. From what I read here and on other posts, it seems to me the real haters lean to the right. That’s where most of the name calling and hooting is coming from.
Now, as far as the dancing – DWTS has made a huge mistake and they are paying for it – or they are enjoying the high ratings as all the folks who want Bristol gone (rightfully so) tune in to see what happens. Bristol seems like a sweet girl and I think she’s embarrassed at this point. She’s by far the worst dancer and she misses her baby. The tea baggers are not doing her a favor and need to let her go home. The is a DANCE contest – not politics.

  18. Carol Thomson says:

I think Brandy saying she had an advantage because of her musicality this week turned some people off. It came off as bragging. She is good though. I like everyone that’s left in the competition but I have to admit Bristol is fun to watch.

  19. I have watched my last show DWTS The fact that Bristol Palin is still on the show is not what you know but who you are. She is terrible.

  20. You who think this show has anything to do with dancing are in deep space. It is without a doubt a popularity contest!!! It is the stupid comments being made by those of you self-proclaimed “experts” that are keeping her on the show. You are so ignorant of the forces in play here. You who are posting the negative comments are keeping her on the show.

  21. WTF????WTF???? UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I agree…..why would people want her on DWTS to begin with?? Now, it didn’t so much bother me that she wasn’t sent home until the week Audrina P. got eliminated. I am a republican and I think Bristol sucks as a dancer PERIOD!!! Whether I like or don’t like her mom has nothing to do with it! She sucks!! And the person that said she is not charming is exactly right! She’s a teenager that got pregnant and is now preaching about “not” doing it…..come on!!! She can’t dance, she is not talented, she is not charming, she is obviously not comfortable doing what she is doing (it’s written all over her face) and it makes me uncomfortable to watch. Audrina, Rick and now Kurt…..really??? Who needs to go home next before someone realizes what is going on. People kept Kate Gosslin on, I think, just to laugh at her but enough was eventually enough…..so its time to let the stars…..the REAL stars, that can dance and put forth an insane amount of effort every week (not half assed) and work on the things they are criticized on each week (unlike Bristol having to be told the same thing EVERY week…..work on your expression and get some musicality) shine. So how about it people…….lets launch mission “ELIMINATE BRISTOL PALIN”.

  22. What exactly is honest about someone who really cannot dance! She truly lacks finesse on the dance floor and that is what the competition is suppose to be about. If it moves from that, then it loses its honesty. It is truly frustrating to watch!!!

  23. I’m an Alaska resident and to me, she is an embarrassment.

  24. All you CRY BABY liberals just can’t stand it because you were ousted in the elections last week. You hate Bristol because of her Mother and also of her(Bristol) being such a seemingly genuine person. I hope she wins it all. She is not the best dancer but her fans Love her. OH, I just used a four letter word y’all aren’t familiar with (Love).

  25. I agree with PEN…….I have watched DWTS since season 1 and I almost want to give it one more week of watching and if she is not eliminated, I think I am done with the show. POLITICS DON’T HAVE TO BE BROUGHT INTO THIS!!!!! EVERYONE IS ACTING STUPID!!!!!!! The simple fact is she sucks and has absolutel no talent and watching her dance is embarrassing, uncomfortable and just plain insane….it DOES make you wonder why the heck she is still on the show though???????

  26. David, Jeff, another grizzley and all you right-wingers,
Please, please use this same voter power you are displaying to vote Bristol’s mother in as the Republican nomminee for president of the U.S. in 2012.
Also, please vote for pot to be legal – I thank you.
    Peace out.

  27. JLM, you and PEN are typical liberals in that since you don’t like what the majority of the voters are voting for, you want those in charge (ABC) to just come riding in and invalidate the whole “election”.

Well suck it! If you don’t like Bristol being on there, then vote for somebody else to stay. Stop calling for officials to resort to cheating or stopping the voting because you don’t like who’s winning.

  28. It’s the law of averages. Everyone else is focusing their votes on the many more talented folks and a special group of individuals are targetting one individual, despite her lack of dancing talent. Why this has entered a show that was designed to entertain is the real mystery. It is certainly not as much fun as it used to be
Equally amazing is how having divided opinions is expressed so ugly throughout this exchange. Can’t we agree to disagree?

  29. another grizzly says:

Deb, what are you talking about? It most certainly is fun to us voting for Bristol each week and watching all these reactions from liberals. :)

  30. Why is she designated a star?!? says:

I don’t get how her thrust into the limelight has made her a “Star”?!?

  31. So all those who think that Ms. Palin is not a good dancer are automatically assumed to be liberals?!?

  32. another grizzly says:

NO Deb, in fact, EVERYBODY agrees Bristol is not a good dancer, even those of us voting for her know darn well she can’t dance her way out of a paperbag, but we don’t care! It’s more fun to thrust her victory week after week into the faces of those who absolutely loathe her mother, than to watch a really imbecilic show about dancing. Dancing really has very little to do with it.

  33. another grizzly says:

Surely Deb (et. al), you didn’t think we were voting for Bristol FOR her dancing talent? No, we vote for her IN SPITE of her lack of dancing talent.

  34. Hey another grizzley – I heard that to keep Bristol on the show you have to cast all your future presidental votes to the left.

  35. While I really like the variety of “stars”, the producers really should level the playing field a bit. I think its unfair that they pit contestants with dance experience against those who without. That said, Bristol’s voting block is doing her a disservice. The fans and Bristol know that her dances continue to be very simple choreography in comparison to the competition and with each passing week the gap between her performance and the rest of the lot becomes embarrassingly wider.

  36. That reasoning seems to match how you guys handle political votes as well, and those DO matter! It’s a wonder we are in the state we are in?!? It’s more about getting someone else’s ire than doing what makes sense for the greater good!!!

  37. another grizzly says:

Leigh, it’s a dancing show ok? It’s not NASA auditioning for Ph.D physic engineers to work as payload specialists on our next flight to the moon. It’s a silly, ridiculous dance show of amateurs. Why do you people take it so seriously?

  38. Don't want to be frustrated by entertainment!!! says:

    That’s NOT entertainment!!!

  39. You’re just another lib who is suffering from PDS. The Palin’s are taking over the world. Deal with it.

  40. Not my world and I pray not yours!!! says:

As they say, be careful what you wish for!!!

  41. Don't watch it if you're frustrated says:

The whole show is about watching old, washed up, has beens pretending they are still young and youthful. Florence Henderson – old has-been, David Hasslehoff – old, drunk, has – been, Michael Bolton – old, dimwitted, barely-can-sing, no talent has-been. Jennifer Grey – old, no name hack who hasn’t had a hit movie in 20 years and only got the one because she rode the coat tails of Patrick Swayze.

Who cares? You go young Bristol, bring home that disco ball!

  42. its a sad day when you can’t even have an honest Dancing show. i stopped watching in the past when it became a popularity contest & now i can see why. forget Democrats, Republicans or whatever your choice is but the bottom line is the girl Can’t dance. she should be gone. as a matter of fact it is time for a new show. maybe an honest one. time to move on.

  43. Go young Bristol, a has-been in her youth! says:

    You said it!!!

  44. I don’t see how anyone could look at this objectively and realize that Bristol should have been the one to leave, not Kurt. She tries, but she just isn’t very good, period.

  45. Hey, that might qualify her to run for president in 2012! says:

Apparently not much is required to garner votes!!!

  46. grizzly, I don’t think I take it too seriously; it’s about the lightest hour of TV that I watch. But I feel badly for Bristol. It has to be uncomfortable to continue competing (with the world watching) as she gets further and further out of her league. I’d find that pretty humiliating. And I think you may just have come up with a pretty good premise for the next new reality show.

  47. I’m from Canada. Bristol is an okay dancer. Yet other dancers who put out way more effort and are way better at entertaining keep getting sent home. I guess that it shows that some political folks will lie, cheat and steal to make their favourite win. If that happened at the Olympics or in other venues where honest competition is still respected, it would be shocking. I would be embarrassed if Bristol beats say Jennifer or Brandy. Hopefully they never have any political people on this type of show ever again to ruin it.

  48. “Hopefully they never have any political people on this type of show ever again to ruin it.” Carol T., from your keyboard to ABC’s and DWTS’s ears.
With the Palins and the Palinbots, it’s a friggin’ high school popularity contest. The grifting Paylins want to keep that Palin name in the public eye. Too bad Mommy dearest, A.K.A. Sarah Palin Heath (that’s the name seen on a recent legal document), is going to get kicked to the curb by the G.O.P. Hope Bristle, the Palins, and Sarah Palin Heath get sent back to the tundra real soon.

  49. I guess Obama was voted in because he had the experience not the popularity. And look at the great job he is doing to run this country to the ground. Liberal socialists should never exist in this world.

  50. Leave, Bristol!! You are making a fool of yourself and everybody is laughing. You and your dumb Mama need to fly back to Alaska and go moose-hunting. Let me know if you can see Russia from your house, Bristol!

  51. Bristol is seriously the worst dancer in this season. And the only reason she’s still on the show is because of her infamous mother. I can’t believe that she messed up several parts in the instant dancing and still got 23 while Jennifer only got 20 from the her Paso Doble. She’s a non-talented single mom who’s ONLY on the show because of her mom and she still has the face to steal spots from the good dancers. If she has any soul or dignity, she should resign herself from the show

  52. In the article above, you write that Bristol has gotten this far because of her popular mother but then later contradict yourself by stating Bristol’s survival on DWTS has nothing to do with being Sara Palin’s daughter (even after you called Bristol a horrible dancer). Seriously, it has everthing to do with Sarah and her political views, Tea Party advocates, and followers.

The fact is DWTS fans are frustrated because talent needs to be some aspect of this show and this season, especially, way too many talented individuals have been sent home early with Bristol still making the cuts. I have nothing against Bristol personally but I do believe if she wins as champion, then I will never watch the program again (and I have watched them all!). Bristol is probably a nice girl but her flat affect and “this sucks” personality cannot possibly make her a fan favorite without bringing into play her mother’s political following. I hope with all the major controversy this season has created, DWTS producers and directors sit down and seriously rethink their judging rules. If a change is not made before next season, I believe the show might possibly be doomed in the ratings.

  53. Jen, just to clarify, I think that she has gotten this far because of the popularity of her mom but that’s not the reason why I want her booted off the show. What I meant to say (and maybe it didnt come off right) was that I wish she was booted off the show because she’s a horrible dancer, not because she’s Sarah Palin’s daughter. She’s still there because of her mom but the reason for me wanting her kicked off has nothing to do with her mom and has everything to do with the fact that she’s a horrible dancer who doesnt deserve to still be there

  54. Thanks for clearing this up. I agree with you as well.

  55. The show is fixed to make sure she wins. I hope Bristol got herself pg again that will blow the lid off Palins run for 2012. Bristol has a bump or is it to much moose meat.

  56. BRISTOL PALIN IS A TALENTED DANCER, MUCH BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE ON DWTS. I HOPE SHE WINS IT ALL. And if you believe that I got some swampland in Florida for you.

  57. Honestly, Palin has gotten the lowest score week after week, yet the viewers keep voting her back on no matter how terrible her performance. This week she didn’t even dance, just shook her shoulders. The studio audience boos when her scores are given which has Len a little shaken. At this point I think everyone should stop voting for the real dancers and vote for her. It would be hilarious if she won and from what I have see so far, she could.

  58. http://tinyurl.com/37orcby <–how they vote.
    Conservatives4Palin(sarah):

"The emotional investment in both Bristol and the Palin family at large was strong enough to get people who've probably never voted for anyone on Dancing with the Stars before to commit to turning up every Monday to burn up the phone lines for Bristol. In 2012, these same people are going to be the ones phone banking for Governor Palin a few hours every day and walking neighborhoods for her in the primaries and general election. I see Palin-supporting websites (including my own) organizing weekly "Support Bristol" dialing operations. These are clearly precursors to the efforts that will be made for Bristol's mom in the future, and great practice for rallying the troops and mobilizing to achieve specific goals today."

  59. Ken, it’s not “the viewers” that keep voting her back on. It’s nitwits like Ebenz who have never watched the show, but think they’re accomplishing something by keeping Sarah Palin’s daughter on a Reality Dance Show.

  60. Nancy Mitchell says:

I went to this site because I wanted to express my dismay about this season on DWTS. I started reading people’s comments and I am appalled by things I have read. Only a handful of you are addressing the issue I want to add to. First of all this site is (not supposed) to be a political forum – there are other sites for that. It doesn’t matter where my stance is politically; it doesn’t matter if I support Ms. Palin. What has disgusted me is those of you (who by your own admittance) have used this site to express with venom and anger ,to spit out (as Deb observed) some very ugly things. Someone actually said that liberal socialists should not “exist” – what do you propose – that those people be deported or worse? smacks of an era when the most heinous atrocities where committed, no? Again, I may be a conservative, I may be a liberal – it doesn’t matter in regards to this forum. DWTS is a dance/talent contest. There have been other seasons where I thought “this is more of a popularity contest” I know some people vote for dancers they know should be voted off because they think it is fun to keep certain contestants around. I know some people just assume that the better dancers are “safe” so they don’t even vote – this attitude almost had Jennifer and Brandy kicked off. The judges stressed the importance off voting for those we think should still be around. The fact is that Bristol should have been voted off many cycles ago – some of those who have gone home, while she remains, may be bitter and deservedly so. The young woman is not a good dancer, the complexity of her choreography is very “simple” compared to others – and she still is not a good dancer. DWTS needs to re-think their formula re voting – maybe the judges scores should carry more weight – something needs to change. I love dance shows, always have. I love dance from the old Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Ginger Rogers, Vera Ellen movies, to a ballrooom dance show from the 70′s-80′s, and even that Danny Terrio(sp ?) disco dance show – all were terrific fun, and a chance for dance lovers like myself to be entertained. You all, who truly seem to be full of hatred towards anyone who disagrees with thir political views – go find another forum to discuss your opinions; if you do go on this site, limit your observations to the dancing and which contestants are cutting it, which are not. A great “diversion” show is being ruined by people voting to express their political views – and stay off of this site- I don’t want to read your angry, hate-filled rantings. Bristol herself must be embarrassed that she is still there when others far superior have gone home – it is not her fault though.

  61. This is not about Lib vs Repub or Sarah hating, this is about dance. I have two daughters who have both been nationally ranked ballroom dancers, and they both cringe every time Bristol dances. Not her fault but her movement is heavy and her stiffness is painful to watch. Please stop promoting this girl as ballroom dance needs the visibility this show gives, but many will stop watching due to obvious voting support for non dance reasons.

  62. I rather see Sarah Palin in office than Bristol win DWTS

  63. Bristol flat out won that week’s competition with Kurt Warner, and I was rooting for Kurt. She’s got talent and comes across as a very genuine person. For all those lib haters that continue to pour filth out of their mouth, with nonsensical rants — if you want to stop watching the show, please do, after all, if you leave the average IQ of the audience will go up.

  64. Bristol Palin is obviously outclassed and is out of her league. Please send her home legitimately. The overwhelming majority of those posting here have tried to make their voices clear. Bristol Palin has no talent for dancing. Maybe some other profession is better suited, but not dancing. Leave it to those that actually have talent. ABC, do the right thing and send her packing!

  65. Bristol’s fan have vote rigged, because ABC’s site has no validation for email, her fans have created as many as 300 fake email addresses to vote repeatedly. ABC needs to fix this.

    http://www.politicususa.com/en/bristol-palin-dwts

  66. Why are all the liberals suddenly so interested in merit? Bristol is the perfect affirmative action candidate in dancing. Jennifer Gray is practically a professional dancer, for God’s sake. Bristol probably never got past a high school sock hop. She is disavantaged. Of course, we have an affirmative action candidate in the White House, and look what that has done to the country.
