Jessica Simpson Talks Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo Engagement (Listen)!
Everyone was shocked when Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo announced their engagement last week but one person who wasn’t shocked is Jessica Simpson.
According to Jess, she’s very happy for her former hubby and doesn’t understand why everyone thinks she’s so upset that her former flame is ready to tie the knot again.
Simpson tells Ryan Seacrest “I am extremely, extremely happy for him. I don’t know where all those rumors came from. My mom actually called me and said that everyone was saying that I was ‘saddened.’ I was just in complete shock. I couldn’t be more happy for Nick.”
And for those of us who are still holding out for a Nick/Jess reunion, the 30-year-old singer insists we need to just get over it.
“Our relationship was over a really long time ago, and it would be nice if everyone could move on with us and really just celebrate the love between him and Vanessa [Minnillo]. I do, and I really wish them nothing but the best.”
Well, sorry Jess but I, for one, refuse to believe that you and Nick are over for good!
Is anyone else as pathetic as I am and still hoping for Nick and Jessica to get back together!
