Jessica Simpson vs. Vanessa Minnillo – Who Got the Nicer Ring (Photos)?
Jessica Simpson and Vanessa Minnillo both announced their engagements within the last week and a half, shocking everyone and sparking a lot of media attention. And while millions of people have been comparing the two beauties since Nick started dating Vanessa, their stunning good looks and rollercoaster careers aren’t the only things people are comparing this week: Now, it’s the engagement rings!
Jessica and Vanessa both received stunning engagement rings from their future husbands (Eric Johnson and Nick Lachey) but the two rings look nothing alike.
On one hand (literally) you have Jessica’s ruby red Neil Lane stunner, reportedly worth $100,000 and on the other you have Vanessa sporting a Bader & Garin Asscher cut diamond with trapezoids reportedly worth $125,000.
Both rings are stunning but I have to admit, I prefer Vanessa’s ring 100 percent over Jessica’s. I mean, sure, the 30-year-old singer’s rock is unique and gorgeous but I prefer a simple, classic diamond like Vanessa’s. Plus, I’m not really a fan of ruby’s and would never choose a red diamond.
I wonder if Jess picked out the ring or if Eric chose it without her input. A bold move on Johnson’s part if he chose a ruby ring instead of a traditional diamond without talking to her first, in my opinion!
