Bristol Palin will compete in the finals of Dancing with the Stars Season 11 – it’s official. It was just announced that Brandy has been eliminated from the popular show, leaving Bristol, Kyle and Jennifer to compete in next week’s final episode.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Bristol Palin may be the worst dancer to ever grace the stage of DWTS (except for Kate Gosselin) and yet somehow she’s actually managed to flop her way into the finals.
It was clear that the judges were shocked at Brandy’s elimination and you could tell by the look on both Brandy and Maks’ faces that they truly didn’t believe that Bristol deserved to be in the finals either - but somehow she managed to secure the votes once again.
Now, it’s more possible than ever that Bristol might actually have the ability to take home the title of Dancing with the Stars champion.
This might actually become reality, people!
Can you honestly tell me that Bristol Palin deserves to stand beside other Dancing with the Stars champions like Brooke Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, Drew Lachey, Kelly Monaco and Shawn Johnson?

She deserved it. Brandy lost her connection with the audience. Her time was coming. Palin, on the other hand, gained more confidence and tranformed herself on the dance floor.

I knew that United States people were completely ignorant of quality and class…How they voted for the final 3 is totally astounding…Do they have a brain??? I don’t think so…If they judge and vote on the ability to dance the final 3 would not be as set…The judges are also to blame for the voting and selection…if they had provided the appropriate marks for the dancers ability and execution the results would not have been close…That was my last viewing of this non-reality program…
Worst dancing I’ve seen that has made it through to the top 3 is Pistol Palin. She can never beat Brandy without her mom being on the show. Sara Palin should stay off the show. I have been watching pistols hideous dancing for too long. Everyone knows that Sara Palin has a lot of people voting for Pistol. This is truly about popularity and i wouldn’t be surprised if Pistol Won. I won’t watch after today.

OMG!!! Bristol beats Brandy? You have got to be kidding me. I just finished watching the Results show and I must say that I am seriously disappointed. Brandi clearly belonged in the finals. In my opinion, it should have come down to Jennifer and Brandi, with Jennifer winning.
It will be an insult to the former champions should Bristol win. The previous champions DESERVED their win. Bristol has no business being in the finals. No offense Bristol, but you do not belong there. Your comments about deserving to be in the finals reminded me of a whiny teenager who can’t get their own way. Mommy Palin must have had the phone banks working last night to ensure that daughter dearest gets a spot in the finals. Whatever works! I just think the voting public needs to get with the program and vote for the best DANCER and not make this a popularity contest, which is what it’s turned in to. Shame. I believe the judges get the final vote so she won’t win, but for her to even be IN the final is pretty lame. No surprise, though. Clearly expected that to happen when I saw Mommy Dearest in the audience last night. Ah well. We all know who the better dancer was and who deserved to stay!
The only thing that can be done at this point is for the judges to vote her so low that she can’t possibly win. I challenge the judges to mark her according to her performance, don’t worry about making her feel bad. She definitely shouldn’t win.

I won’t watch the finals. I tried to vote for Brandy. The phone lines were busy and when I tried to vote at abc.com, it would not allow me to, even though voting was still open. Message for Brandy, it’s ok to be sad, we all are, but you’ve grown as a person, dancer, entertainer, etc. Being on that show will help your career! Bristol Palin got more votes because people were voting for Sarah stupid Palin through her daughter. We have to mobilize and keep Sarah stupid Palin out of the White House. I tried for an hour to vote for brandy on the telephone and on the internet. When I fially got thru it said they were closed. How is that. Palin should have been knocked off the show-she must have had all of alaska vote for her. She certainly can’t dance. Jennifer is the best but Brandy was running neck -in-neck with Jennifer. The wineing palin girl needs to go home – she does not deserve to win. She can’t really dance. I am through with that show. This is the second time they have done this. I like that Bristol is in, I voted for her. Think of it as this, she had no dance, no tv, no entertainment background, yet she is an amazing dancer, no, not as good as Brandy, but Brandy should be good and even better, she was an entertainer, phoney baloney, Bristol is real.

The show definately needs some updates interms of rules, or else don’t judge dancing at all, just make it into a popularity show and even better, get all the politician kids to come together and fight for popularity. I am a real fan of DWTS but tonight really made me not want to watch it. This should not be a personality contest but a talent contest. I think at the end of the weeks-it should be more judges votes and not call ins. All of Alaska has voted-I believe that not all of them watched the show. This does not make DWTS look good. You want a girl that has improved but still is not a dancers win??? REThink the rules!

Dancing with the Republicans: Bristol Palin does not have a club foot, Parkinson’s disease, and vertigo, but even if she did she would have beaten Brandy thanks to the Tea Party vote. Frightening to think that they will be voting on our nation’s laws with the same lack of integrity.

What show are you watching?? Bristol is a “beautiful” dancer?? Yeah if your partner carries you through EVERY dance. Brandy deserved to be in the finals and Bristol does not. If she wins, ABC got what it wanted and I hope their show tanks. It’s supposed to be about developing raw dance talent which Bristol does not have. Plain and simple – she has yet to pull out a show stopping performance and it’s not fair she gets another chance. Kyle and Jennifer will crush her in the freestyle – hopefully Patrick Swayze’s spirit will be with both Jennifer and Kyle next week!!!

Brandi and Maks did a marvelous job all season. I’ll read about who wins next week in the papers as I am so afraid Bristol, the most undeserving dancer, will win. I’m through with this program. PS My husband said Bristol was a glorified sack of potatoes compared the exquisite finesse and artistic beauty of the other dancers. Apparently being a great dancer doesn’t mean anything.

This is the very reason such programs should be judged by the professional judges only and not the illiterate public. It is these very people that have to be feed what and what not to do because they have been kept in the dark for generations and once the light is let in they are scared as hell. Just as I realized what was going on with the American Ideal and now this I will no longer watch this either.
I don’t know why everyone is surprised. I have nothing personal against Bristol and I think she did get better a little each week, but from a talent point of view she is not in the same class as Brandy or even that of Florance Henderson. Saw this coming when Palin was announced as a dancer(???) on this show. This week it was obvious the producer needed the judges to award high points for Palin even if she did not deserve them. The controversy was getting out of control and he needed to have the judges score support the tea pary votes. The judges and the show have failed the credibility test.

I am commenting on the ignorant remark that Terri made about Bristol..Maybe because I am older but I remember when Brandy had a baby while she was still in highschool and didn’t know who the father was. I remember it being in the newspapers. Yeah, I agree that Brandy is a good dancer like Jennifer, but let’s be honest Brandy has danced before in her videos….Just like Jennifer, I thought this show was suppose to take someone who wasn’t experienced and make them a dancer….isn’t that what the show is about?? Then why is everyone so upset….Kyle and Bristol were the ones who weren’t dancers. Let’s be honest everyone has said that Bristol has really improved and thats what the show is about. The judges are also at blame, voting way too high for Bristol. She truly deserved a 6 or 7. They are not allowed to give that score in semi-finals, therefore, they give Bristol 9s. I have a real problem with this…had it not been for her “situation”, she wouldn’t be where she is today..a finalist on Dancing With The Stars..pulling in a considerable amount of money. As to her dancing ability, that’s open for interpretation, in my opinion, she does not belong in the finals..she should have gone home weeks ago.

Why Bristol was at the DWTS? She is not a star. There is no point watch to the end DWTS, we knew the winner. DWTS use to be one of my favor,not anymore. Judges should be removed also. All of them, after this season. This is a shame season.When they announce Brandy and Macks out, my heart almost stop. Shame.
A number of factors played a part in Brandi and Max being cut from the show. 1.The art of dancing was not important this season 2. Politicians don’t care what it takes to raise campaign funds and media attention
3. The U.S. is in the shape they are in because a vast majority of people are easily persuaded 4. Television has never been the same since media coverage and ratings played a bigger role than home entertainment 5. We will never know if race was a factor
This WAS an enjoyable program for me but I will have to find another program that has not been influenced (yet) by ratings and politics
who is watching Bristol baby??? well she got plenty of nannies helping her so i don’t feel sorry for her and her whining how tough her life is. try living some of our real lives. she wouldn’t make it. i hate her fake mom and all the stupid puppets who love her.
Len never criticized Bristol’s dancing; he always praised her no matter how many times she blundered. His low score for her was 8′s and the other judges follow. The judging was unfair. As far as the dancing…it was always a waltz (and she was stiff as a board when trying to executed those steps). After the gorilla dance crap, it should have been adios to her. Bristol knows she is undeserving of being a finalist as we all know.
Guess we all knew this was going to happen…the judges have been way to easy on Bristol..wonder why? And, what was a non-star doing on Dancing With the Stars…interesting. I agree with other comments, Miss Palin should step down and let Brandy (the true winner) take her place…but, guess that’s not going to happen. What is going to happen; I will no longer be watching the show. I have a problem with political agenda disguised as entertainment. Bye, bye DWTS
I cannot believe that bristol beat in the votings against brandy just because of her mothers political republican background. Even her own mother know that her daughter should have been booted off weeks ago. Ms brandy should be in the finals not big bristol. Brandy keep your head up girl. Question if palin wins will they interview her Mom? This clearly is all about pissed off Republicans voting Bristol through. Just admit what this is really about. As a Republican that has heard others admit to voting for the first time to make a statement, I think that is wrong. This is about dancing not an election. Not fair to these stars that work hard day in and day out. Bristol should feel embarrassed.

It’s infuriating that Brandy is off and Bristol is going to the finals. If DWTS ever again has anyone with political connections on, I will not even think of watching. If the votes were truly based on dancing skill, Bristol would have been eliminated weeks ago. Clearly, the voting has been politcally motivated, and this is grossly unfair to the contestants who deserve to continue in the competition and to win. I have a horrible feeling that Bristol is going to win the mirror ball, and if she does I will bet that DWTS ratings will plummet next season.
Dancing with the Stars was one of the few escapes for many people, but it has been corrupted by politics. No matter what producers claim, they can not deny this fact, as Bristol Palin, the worst dancer this season, continues to stay week after week. While I’m not a fan of Brandy, she, as well as the other more talented dancers, were robbed. If Bristol wins, the show will lost its credibility in the field of dancing permanently.
I can not believe someone through the comment in above about White America. My God? Can you imgaine if the other side had said something like that about Obama? Can we not get race out of this. It’s obvious that Bristol should have been eliminated earlier, so why is she still there…the Tea Party fools. The Judges should decide this competition. If they allow fans to call in, it should not be tabulated, as part of the vote. I don’t remember if the final vote is up to the Judges. If it is, then Bristol will be in last place, and Jennifer and Derek will win. They got 60 out of 60 this past week, so it is clear they are tops!

I love the show!!! You wanna why? Because I GET IT! The show is part dance competition and part popularity contest. This is what makes the show so entertaining and so REAL! I’m certain at some point in your life, you were passed over for something by someone you felt was less deserving. Who said life was fair?!!! This is a REALITY SHOW for crying out loud! The professional judges and the public alike have their biases. So why should anyone expect ‘perfect’ results? Sure, I was gearing up for a Jennifer and Brandy showdown in the finals. i am very dissapointed in the american people, that even a competition that should purely be based on DANCING they have to squeeze politics into it. if you look deep into this its very scary and dissapointing for america as a country because we would never know the best rather than the one with connections and power. and this is sad. if i was bristol palin i would leave the show because i would know that im far behind the other dancers who deserve to be there. , if bristol can say that ONLY THEN she could earn the title of “dancer of the people”
