Kanye West Disses Taylor Swift at Bowery Ballroom Show

We may never be able to forget about that time Kanye West stole Taylor Swift’s mic at the MTV Video Music Awards – at least, not if Kanye has anything to say about it. He’s apologized a number of times – and Taylor forgave him with her bizarre performance of “Innocent” at this year’s VMAs – but Kanye brought the subject back up last night at a Bowery Ballroom show in New York City last night.

Us Weekly reports that Kanye, 33, accused Taylor, 20, of using Kanye’s mic-steal to fuel her career. “Taylor never came to my defense at any interview,” he said. “And rode the waves and rode it and rode it.”

Hold up. Came to your defense? Why should Taylor defend you for rudely stealing the microphone from her during an awards acceptance speech? Maybe you shouldn’t have done it in the first place! Kanye has Twitter-ranted about the media circus surrounding the mic steal, but this seems to be the first time he’s anything by apologetic to Taylor.

Kanye also ranted about Matt Lauer, who ambushed Kanye a few weeks ago when President George W. Bush appeared on The Today Show to promote his new memoir. In the book, Bush says that Kanye’s accusation that he didn’t “care about black people” in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina was the “lowest point” of his presidency. Lauer surprised Kanye by interviewing him live via satellite while Bush was in the studio – and while Kanye apologized for the remark, he says he felt exploited. “Because [of] the popularity of me, they exploited that…That’s not what he f*cking said!” Kanye said. “That’s not what he said! He said it was one of his lowest moments. But it shows you—the way they try to villainize, the way they tried to do that.”

Does anybody really feel sorry for Kanye?
