Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver and Twitter star Chad Ochocinco has confirmed that he’s engaged to model Evelyn Lozada. People Magazine reports that Ryan Seacrest asked the football star about engagement rumors on his radio show this morning, and Chad responded, “Yeah, man…It’s time for me to sit down. Enough is enough. I’m 32, you know, my days are over.”
Talk of an engagement began after Chad was seen giving Evelyn a 10-carat ring from Jason Beverly Hills on VH1′s Basketball Wives, but at the time the couple said they had no plans to get hitched. But apparently Seacrest had the special power to get Chad to gush about his fiancee. “You know how you deal with this person, that person, but you can’t ever find everything in one individual?” he asked Seacrest. “I think I found everything I’ve been looking for in one person. [She's] everything I’ve been missing.” Awww. Chad also said that there ”ain’t no such thing as perfect,” but that Evelyn is “close enough.” Chad has never been engaged before, while Evelyn was once engaged to basketball player Antoine Walker.
In the past, Chad has been game to have his life appear on TV; he was a Dancing with the Stars contestant and he also starred in the VH1 reality dating show Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch. But this time, he said his marriage won’t be reality TV fodder. As for future kids? “Maybe [we'll have] … a couple babies. You never know what’ll happen.”
