Poor Susan Boyle. The singer who rose to fame after her ‘X Factor’ audition went viral, couldn’t make it through ‘O Holy Night’ this morning on ‘The View.’
Susan appears to have a frog stuck in her throat – she cringes, pauses, and asks if she can start over again. She doesn’t seem to realize that ‘The View’ is a live show! Lucky for her, ‘The View’ hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd swoop in, and handle the situation like pros.
Watch Susan Boyle stop half way through ‘O Holy Night’ on ‘The View’ below. (It’s awkward, but at least we know she’s not lip-syncing?!)
The Scottish-born singer is in New York to promote her new album, ‘The Gift,’ which debuted at ‘Number 1’ on the US pop chart and enjoyed a two week reign in the top spot. MTV reports that Susan was the first woman – and only other artist besides the Beatles and the Monkees – to land two straight ‘Number 1’ albums within a calendar year in both England and the US.
Susan is scheduled to appear at New York’s tree-lighting ceremony tonight, which will be broadcast on NBC.
