Bruce Oldfield to be Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress Designer?

Kate Middleton Bruce Oldfield Royal WeddingMove over Phillipa Lepley, London bookmakers are now saying that Bruce Oldfield will most likely be the designer chosen to create a one-of-a-kind gown for England’s future Princess.

The Daily Mail reports that “Paddy Power has received so many wagers on Bruce Oldfield to design the Royal wedding dress, it has suspended betting.”

A spokesperson for the booking agent claimed that there was no point in taking bets when all of the interest appeared to be in one person.  There’s a good possibility that the sudden increase in bets in favor of Bruce means that the designer’s name has been leaked.

“He started as 4/1 joint favorite,” the spokesperson revealed, “but since then his odds have been slashed to 1/3.  That would mean there is a 75 percent chance of him being the wedding dress designer.”

With the royal wedding just months away, it’s likely that someone knows just who Kate has decided to wear for her big day.

The Paddy Power spokesperson added, “Sometimes this kind of betting comes from people taking an educated guess, but sometimes it is the result of a leak.  We were taking bets of £500 or more (approximately $775) so it could be a leak.”

Bruce Oldfield has designed dresses for Sienna Miller, Rihanna, and Jemima Khan.  He’s also said to have been a favorite of Prince William’s mother, Diana Princess of Wales.
