Brittney Jones Uses Alleged Affair with Ashton Kutcher to Promote Sex Tape

Brittney Jones claimed to have an affair with Ashton Kutcher – and now she’s using his famous name to promote the release of her sex tape. The New York Post reports that Vivid Entertainment, an adult film company, is marketing Brittney’s new tape – and in a press release announcing the video this week, the company boasted that “Ashton’s fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced.”

Ashton’s lawyer sent a letter to Vivid, claiming that the company is “trading on Mr. Kutcher’s good name and reputation for a commercial purpose, and … attempting to misappropriate and convert the potential economic value in Mr. Kutcher’s identity to your own advantage.”

The letter also claims that Ashton “is entitled to recover damages and profits” since the company’s “conduct has already caused, and will continue to cause, substantial damages” to Ashton, who is married to Demi Moore. Ashton’s camp will back down if Vivid stops using the 32 year-old’s name. Vivid’s founder and co-chairman told TMZ, “We will respond accordingly.”

Back in September, Brittney Jones claimed she had an affair with Ashton via Star Magazine, but he has emphatically denied the report. He even threatened to take legal action against the mag.

What do you think? Is Ashton’s career being hurt by the promotion? It is pretty skeezy to use his name when he’s not in the tape… and it’s also sad that so many women are hoping to launch their careers the Kim Kardashian way.
