Nicole Richie and Joel Madden tied the knot Saturday in Los Angeles, and we’ve got all the details about the super private ceremony!
The couple kept things fairly intimate – inviting only 130 family and friends. But one guest stood out amongst all the others: a trained elephant! The animal was spotted being led into the grounds of the home of Nicole’s father, Lionel Richie, where two tents were set up for the ceremony.
The bride celebrated her big day with three gowns! Nicole rocked Marchesa for the ceremony, and then changed into a different skirt for dinner, though later the former reality star changed into another Marchesa creation for the after-dinner party.
Rev Run officiated the ceremony, as the Run-DMC rapper is also a practicing minister. “Joel and Nicole have looked up to Rev Run, so they wanted him to officiate,” a guest told US Weekly.
Guests noshed on red greens salad, homemade butternut squash ravioli and an entrée choice of filet mignon or seared ahi tuna [via TMZ].
The newlyweds are currently trying to negotiate a potential $100,000 photo deal for their wedding pictures. Nicole and Joel are donating the money raised to charity.
