Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds may be the latest high profile couple to announce their parting ways but they’re definitely not the first duo to split in 2010.
Scarlett and Ryan join the likes of Sandra Bullock and Jesse James, Courtney Cox and David Arquette, Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush and Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. All of these couples have called it quits in 2010 – many shocking fans and sparking significant media attention.
Married in September of 2008, Scarlett and Ryan seemed like they were one of the few Hollywood couples who had lasting power. Unfortunately, the former couple released this statement confirming the news:
“After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”
