Weeks away from completing her court-ordered stint at the Betty Ford Center, Lindsay Lohan is the subject of a police investigation for allegedly assaulting a female staffer at the rehab clinic.
Cops were called to the scene at the Betty Ford Clinic around 1:00 am on December 12, after the actress returned late to the center after spending the evening with friends. The alleged victim wants Lindsay prosecuted, TMZ reports, and therefore the troubled actress has found herself in the midst of a misdemeanor battery investigation.
Sources close to Lindsay insist that the star did not strike first in the physical altercation with the female staffer, but did push back after the woman “put her hands on Lindsay.”
The drama unfolded after Lindsay came back roughly ten minutes after her scheduled curfew and the staffer “unfairly” scolded her [via TMZ].
No arrest has been made, as the incident did not take place in front of an officer. However, if Lindsay is convicted the actress may face jail time for violating her probation, stemming from that pesky DUI case.
