David Schwimmer is stepping into a new role – fatherhood. The former ‘Friends’ star has announced that he and fiancée Zoe Buckman are expecting a child together.
The actor’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple “couldn’t be more thrilled” about becoming first-time parents.
Zoe, a photographer, met David in London three years ago while he was directing the 2007 comedy, ‘Run Fatboy Run.’ Zoe later relocated to Los Angeles to be closer to her beau. In March of this year, the couple announced their engagement.
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine in 2006, David revealed that he always knew he would be a Dad – in due time.
“I think it’s gonna have to wait until I settle down and have a family,” he said. “It will happen when it feels right. Maybe part of me is waiting for myself to slow down a little and be ready to stay put. I’m confident it’s gonna happen.”
