Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds said goodbye to 2010 together, celebrating with friends in Austin, Texas.
“A group of old friends that included Ryan and Sandra spent New Year’s together at Sandra’s restaurant Bess Bistro. They all had a great time ringing in the New Year as they have in the past… as nothing more than friends,” the actress’ rep tells PEOPLE Magazine.
Are they protesting too much? Or are Sandra and Ryan simply trying to distance themselves from the rumors surrounding their relationship after both stars endured very public break-ups in 2010?
Despite their convincing displays of affection on-screen, the stars of ‘The Proposal’ insist that their love is strictly platonic in real life.
In fact, Ryan’s soon-to-be ex–wife, Scarlett Johansson, dined at Sandra’s restaurant just a few days before the New Year’s celebration with her pal, actress Drew Barrymore, PEOPLE revealed.
Sandra even reportedly stopped by the starlets’ table to say hello during their meal.
