‘My Name is Earl’ star Jaime Pressly was arrested and jailed late Wednesday night, after failing a field sobriety test, TMZ reports.
The actress was initially pulled over by police around 11:00 pm in Santa Monica for a traffic violation, but was quickly taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. She was held on $15,000 bail.
With bail set at three times higher than the standard charge of $5,000 for suspicion of DUI, TMZ notes that Jaime’s blood-alcohol level must have been higher than .15 at the time of her arrest, as there were no drugs or children in her car.
The actress has a three-year old son, Dezi, from a previous relationship. She is currently married to entertainment lawyer Simran Singh.
Jaime won an Emmy for ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy’ in 2007 for her portrayal of Joy, Earls’ trailer trash ex-wife on the sitcom ‘My Name is Earl.’ The star has since made guest appearances on ‘Rules of Engagement’ and is the spokeswoman for the “AXE Detailer Will Clean Your Dirty Balls” ad campaign.
