Jake Gyllenhaal and Jenny Lewis Dating?
In the aftermath of his breakup with Taylor Swift, Jake Gyllenhaal brought his ex-girlfriend, indie rocker Jenny Lewis, to the Golden Globes last night. The New York Daily News reports that Jake, 29, and Jenny, 35, dated back in 2001.
Jenny, the lead singer of Rilo Kiley, has also acted. She had a small role in Reese’s 1998 film, Pleasantville and appeared in a number of TV shows in the 80s and 90s. She didn’t pose for pictures on the red carpet with Jake, but onlookers say she stayed close to Jake and could even be seen sitting next to him at their table during the live broadcast.
Jake and broke up with Taylor, 21, back in December. Perhaps the age difference became a problem and Jake wants to go out with a older woman this time? Many people expected Jake to attend the Globes solo, or bring a family member (Taylor Swift brought her brother Austin to the People’s Choice Awards earlier this month).
Jake was nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for his performance in Love and Other Drugs, but lost out to Paul Giamatti.
