Aaron Carter Checks Into Rehab
Aaron Carter has entered a rehab facility. E! News reports that the 23 year-old Dancing with the Stars contestant and former teen idol checked into a rehab center in Southern California earlier this month. He was not required to go by a court; a source claims that Aaron made the decision himself because “he was struggling recently and needed this.”
Aaron’s manager Jonny Wright confirmed the news: “Several months ago Aaron came to me to help him return to music and to restart his career. He has been in Orlando working on a new album and perfecting his live show and his physical body. Aaron, understanding the challenges and hard work it would take to get himself back to the top, requested to take some time before we started to heal some emotional and spiritual issues he was dealing with. Therefore he has chosen to enter a facility where he feels he will get the guidance and cleansing he needs that will help him on the music journey he’s about to take. He asks that everyone keep him in their prayers and that they respect his privacy at this time.”
Aaron appeared on Celebrity Rehab 2 back in 2006, but I guess it didn’t take. Maybe this time will be the charm; Aaron’s brother Nick Carter has been by his side during the difficult time, going to visit Aaron at rehab between rehearsals for the NKOTBSB tour.
To check up on Aaron’s progress, you can follow him on Twitter. He uses the site to post positive and inspirational messages, like this one: “Life Has Its up’s & Downs, You Can Only Live & Learn. Never Lose Faith!! & Always Believe In Yourself! As I Am learning To Do Every day.” His latest tweet: “The main thing in life is not to be afraid of being human.”
Amen!
