Chris Medina American Idol Audition (Watch) Heartbreaking
Chris Medina is an American Idol hopeful with a heartbreaking story about him and his fiancé Juliana who’ve been together for eight years and engaged for two.
On October 2, 2009 Juliana got into an accident and was severely injured. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and has not been the same since.
Chris and Juliana’s mom are the main caretakers for Juliana, who can’t live independently without the help of others. Chris remains dedicated to his fiancé: “I was about to make vows just two months from the accident,” he says. “Through thick and thin, ’til death do us part, sickness and health, better or worse…what kind of guy would I be if I left her when she needed me most?”
Chris has an amazing voice and wowed the judges with an amazing rendition of The Script’s Breakeven.
The first words to the song are “I’m still alive but I’m barely breathing, just praying to a God that I don’t believe in.”
The judges invited Juliana into the audition room where they told her how amazing Chris did with his song. Juliana said “I knew it,” when he told her he made it through to Hollywood.
