Move over, Kate and William…Kate and Jamie are getting married too. That’s supermodel Kate Moss and rocker Jamie Hince of The Kills. According to People Magazine, Jamie asked Kate to marry him Tuesday night just before they were going to sleep – and she accepted!
Neither Kate nor her spokesperson has made an official announcement about the engagement, but Kate, 37, has been spotted around Paris wearing a gorgeous vintage 1920s engagement ring. One paper quoted a friend of Kate’s who said “she’s delighted.” Back in London, Jamie has been seen walking the streets with a huge smile on his face. (Aww!) The night after their engagement, Kate and Jamie celebrated with a candlelight dinner in London.
Kate was previously engaged to Pete Doherty, frontman for Babyshambles, in 2007 – but she met Jamie, 40, later that year backstage at a Kills concert. They were introduced by mutual friend Sadie Frost (who once dated Jude Law).
The wedding is set for July 2, and Kate’s 8 year-old daughter Lila (whom she had with ex Jefferson Hack) will be a bridesmaid.
