Justin Bieber may have nailed his performance at the 2011 Grammy Awards but one of his backup dancers didn’t finish the performance in such great condition.
A backup dancer for Bieber tried doing a flip during the routine but ended up falling hard onto the stage. No one is sure about the condition of the dancer at the moment but, when he stood back up, he grabbed his back in pain.
Here is a 9 second clip that shows the fall very clearly. Hopefully he’s okay.
Luckily for Bieber and Usher, the fall didn’t affect the performance (I didn’t even notice it happened, somebody was nice enough to leave a comment on my other post about their performance – thanks Brian 
).

I noticed that too, but I watched it again and saw that Justin pushed him. And the song was in the Karate Kid movie so everyone was fighting. The fall could have been part of the act.
It appears the dancer was holding his back after he fell, so I’m guessing the pain that he experienced during that landing was not planned. It’s just an observation and unfortunate there was no mat for the guy to land on. People need to think these performances through as well as practice. This performance was more of an “ow” than a “wow” and hope he gets the medical attention necessary.
I saw that fall during the performance and it definitely wasn’t part of the performance! The camera quickly panned away from the dancer when they realized what was going on! It was very alarming to see and I sincerely hope the dancer is ok…spinal cord injuries can be very dangerous and devastating!
The good sign is he did get up after the fall. But no, it didn’t look like it was done on purpose. Not that it was JB’s fault, it was simply a bad landing. Happens to the best of them.
Why does it always got to be someone else’s fault? That one tiny comment which was obviously not the case can and may now be twisted into Justin screwed him up and he’s a bad kid just like the “laser tag incident” That wasn’t supposed to happen. Jeez!
It was definetely part of the act. My son was one of the performers and that fall was rehearsed all week long. Stunt men are suppose to make it look real. Thanks part of their talent!!!
Okay , Dee’s comment is a bunch of crap. I’ll believe that the flip off the riser was rehearsed, but the landing was not. If it was, then WHY did the camera pan away so quickly. I noticed his landing during the performance, and have been looking for news of his well-being.
