CBS reporter Lara Logan was the center of a brutal beating this week while covering the events in Egypt. She was reportedly taken to a US hospital after being “violently attacked” and “sexually assaulted” by a mob of over 200 men before being rescued by a group of women.
The attack took place on February 11, 2011. Just 6 days later, the strong-willed reporter is reportedly telling friends that she plans to return to work within weeks.

According to TMZ.com, sources close to Lara reveal that the details of the assault or horrible but “she’s going to be okay.”
While the source claims that Lara vows to return to work within a matter of weeks, they did not reveal whether she plans to (or even if she’ll be allowed to) return to Egypt.
There’s no word on whether Lara plans to reveal publicly what happened to her on February 11th but CBS is staying relatively quiet on the situation.
I would assume that being a reporter, Lara would feel obliged to give the public details on what happened on the tragic day but it would also be understandable if she wants to keep the information private. After all, she has a family to protect – including an adorable little two-year-old son.
Do you think it’s too soon for Lara to return to work?

I think..no, I know this was a horrible tragedy done to this woman, and it just goes to show, that this world has become a vengeful, angry place to live.
I think it’s ridiculous that this question is even being posed. She should be able to choose to handle this any way she wants, and people should keep their opinions out of it. She’s already had enough choice taken from her. Let’s not try to tell her what she should do now.
I think the world of Lara Logan and there is no need for her to go into detail about her horrible assult while trying to do her job. It is terrible that happened to her, but it is time for that event to become part of history and to learn from it. Yes the world is a violent place and you can get killed just walking out your front door. It is the strong willed people like Lara who pick themselves up and with help from family and friends are able to pull their lives back together and move on. If life were a machine that you could reverse at will and do over I would be the first to step in and reverse that machine for Lara so she could have avoided the horrible attack, but since it is not the only other option is just to hope she heals physically and mentally and gets on with her chosen career. My prayers are with you Lara, heal and be well.
Every individual is different when coping with grief or sudden traumatic event. Lara will return when she is ready.
Stupid question. Why was it even posed?
I think you should quit CBS because they they refused to report on what happened to you until another news source reported what happened to you.
