Bachelor 2011 (SPOILERS) Chantal vs. Emily – Who Does Brad Pick?

Bachelor fans watched in dismay last night as Brad Womack sent home the sweet and sensible Shawntel Newton after hometown dates. While Shawntel was a favorite among many fans, the real battle is between Emily Maynard and Chantal O’Brien for this season’s final pick.

While many are hoping that Reality Steve is wrong with his prediction of Brad choosing Chantal O on the finale, the reality king has a pretty good track record that indicates he’s probably dead on with what’s going to happen this season.
Since the first episode, Reality Steve has accurately informed readers of exactly what is going to happen this season. Right down to last night’s elimination, he has been dead on in his reporting. While he’s been correct in the eliminations up until this point, there is still some hope for Emily fans that RS could be wrong. Why? Because he was last year.
Last year, Reality Steve reported all the spoilers for Ali’s season. He also reported that Ali chose no one in the end but – clearly – he was wrong. While he was reporting that Ali was single, she was in fact completely in love with Roberto, who she’s still with today.
So there’s still hope for Emily and Chantal to win Brad’s heart this season.
Let’s look at the pros and cons of each lady:
Chantal O’Brien:
Pros: She’s smart, has a stable job (she works for her dad who is a former Seattle Seahawk and now owns The O’Brien Auto Group), her parents are loaded and she’s willing to relocate to live with Brad in Texas.
Cons: She’s batsh-t crazy, demanding, overly confident and could end up being too much of “an emotional rollercoaster” (as Brad liked to put it), in the long run.
Emily:
Pros: She’s adorable, sweet, seems to have a good head on her shoulders, is a family-oriented woman (although we didn’t see anyone else from her family in last night’s hometown dates – did anyone else find it weird that Brad didn’t meet her parents or anyone else in her family?).
Cons: She’s still finding it hard to get over her fiance Ricky Hendrick who died in a plane crash in 2004, she’s not as stable as the other women when it comes to her career, she has a daughter which means Brad would have to jump into the role of step-father right away. She might also have a problem relocating since her daughter has friends in school.
