Lindsay Lohan Going to Trial in Jewelry Theft Case

Lindsay Lohan is going to trial. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lindsay appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court this morning and was forced to choose between taking a plea – and doing more jailtime – or going to trial. She picked the latter.
Judge Keith Schwartz told the 24 year-old actress she would be headed back to the slammer if she accepted a deal offered by prosecutors. “This case does involve jail time. Period,” Schwartz told her. “If you plead in front of me — if this case resolves in front of me — you are going to jail. Period. It may be an issue as to amount of time.”
There will likely be another hearing in front of another judge before LiLo goes to trial in the case, which involves the theft of a $2,500 necklace from a Venice jewelry store. Lindsay has maintained her innocence in the case.

Maybe once Lindsay’s legal mess is straightened out, she can launch a fashion line just for court appearances.
