John Galliano Fired after Anti-Semitic Rant (Watch)

John Galliano’s anti-semitic and downright unacceptable remarks to a couple in a Paris restaurant this week have resulted in Dior’s decision to fire their popular designer.

As you can see in the video below, John Galliano was rude, pompous and arrogant while speaking to a couple he had just met in the café. But rude and pompous and arrogant (he told at least one member of the couple that they were ugly) quickly turned to illegal and unforgiveable when he stated that he loves Hitler and believes that they (the couple) should be dead.

He goes on to say “People like you would be dead today. Your mothers, your forefathers would be f-cking gassed and f-cking dead.”

Galliano was taken to the police station where tests proved he was intoxicated with high levels of alcohol in his system (obviously). But, anyone with half a brain knows that these types of comments don’t come about because of alcohol – they are already embeded in someone’s beliefs. Sure, alcohol might encourage them to say their beliefs out loud but that doesn’t mean that alcohol should be considered an excuse for these types of remarks.

Dior stands firm in their decision to fire their lead designer, issuing this statement today:

“The House of Dior declares with the greatest firmness its policy of zero-tolerance regarding any anti-Semitic or racist statement or attitude.”

Here’s hoping he gets what he deserves.
