Emily Maynard has become a season favorite on the 2011 season of the Bachelor but allegations printed in an explosive new interview in In Touch Magazine are painting the blonde beauty out to be a liar.
In Touch reportedly interviewed an ex-fiance of Ricky Hendrick (who died in a plane crash in 2004 and is Emily’s ex-fiance and father of her daughter Ricki) who says that she dated Ricky for years and was engaged to him from 2002-2003.
According to his ex, Cori Kurek, “Ricky and I were together for a very long time and as far as I know, there was never any Emily in his life.”
Well, sorry to say this Cori but you and Ricky must not have been very close if you didn’t know about his relationship with Emily. Why? Because there are at least 14 photos of Ricky and Emily together over the course of, what appears to be, a few years and it’s VERY clear that these two had a strong love.

You can argue Emily’s past all you want but Emily was 19 when Ricky died and there’s no way two people can have this many photos together if they weren’t a very public couple.
It’s a shame some people have to come up with bogus stories to paint someone in a negative light. She lost her boyfriend and the father of her daughter – give the poor woman a break.
Call her plastic, call her insincere all you want but don’t – do not – give interviews with tabloids unless you’re 100 percent certain that what you’re saying it’s true.
It’s disrespectful to Emily, it’s disrespectful to Ricky and it’s defamation of character (i.e. illegal).
Take a look at the photo gallery of over 14 photos of Emily and Ricky and then let us know if you think Cori is telling the truth…

If you follow NASCAR then you would know that she is telling the truth. Do you really think Mr. Hendrick would stand by and allow this to happen. Get real people, find someone else to bash that’s it’s not this easy to verify.
These photo’s seem to be from the same time period (Emily @ 19), if Emily was been with Ricky since she was 14yrs why isn’t there younger pictures of them? Somethings fishy here and I’m not buying what were fed by her that Emily is this pure girl she portrays herself to be.
Interesting that Cori’s husband, Ryan, was the creator and producer of Emily’s 3 Wide Live…before he married Cori. Cori sounds like a very insecure and jealous woman.
i don’t think she was with ricky when she was 14. she went to boarding school for 9th grade in pennsylvania for one year, and she was about 15 then and she dated some seniors at that school. she didn’t come back the next year so maybe she met ricky after that but if she was with him her freshman year of high school then she did some cheating.
I know Ryan Kurek personally and he asked for a separation from Cori 13 months ago in February of 2010, for a number of reasons after a short 9 month marriage. Ryan has not seen or spoken to Cori in 12 months. In the State of South Carolina, you must be separated for a year before a divorce is final, which is happening this month. It’s unfortunate that they are using Ryan’s last name and still referring to him as her husband, all the while tarnishing the Kurek name. Ryan is a mainstay in the NASCAR circles for over a decade with his own sports marketing agency, friends with many of the drivers, owners and media personnel, and co-owns the motorsports show 3 Wide Life, which Emily was their first host. Because of this, Ryan and his last name have been dragged into this mess. Cori maiden name and eventual new name is Tietsort. She was engaged to Ricky years before her and Ryan met, and before Ricky broke off the engagement to Cori. Hopefully they will start referring to her as Cori Tietsort from now on.
In Rick Hendrick’s obituary from 2004, Emily is identified as his girlfriend, not fiance. It was published on the 27th of October, 3 days after his death and before she found out she was pregnant.
I met Cori Tietsort a few years ago and I have to say from experience that she is a disguesting person. She is a fake, mooching, golddigger and she has no right to talk about other women because she is a terrible person.
Cori Tietsort is the most manipulative woman on this earth. I have seen her ruin, lie and play many men. She plays this die-hard Christian girl…complete B.S. She is a drunk, I know she cheated on her husband Ryan, she has serious mental issues. She lied that she broke off the wedding with Ricky, when he dumped her, and she has probably tricked too many people for anyone to take her seriously. Her brother also has mental issues, so it runs in the family. I wouldn’t believe a word she says. As an ex friend of hers I can tell you why she doesn’t have any. She ruined the Hendricks life twice, her ex-husbands, and probably countless other men. Emily should expose Cori for who she is.
What you all don’t know either is that Cori was arrested last year for assualt after punching her nephew and niece’s babysitter after calling the babysitter and (expletive) redneck. All in front of her mother and niece. Her husband was away on business so I watched her father sit in mecklenburg jail waiting to bail her out the next day. Would you trust a word this woman says?
Emily’s baby out of wedlock by Ricky Hendrick is hard to swallow for a family who’s deeply rooted in the south’s bible belt. Therefore they needed to soften the blow with the engagement story with ring to boot. They have also been trying keeping Emily quite and under the radar by providing whatever she needed until she decides she wants her 15 minutes of fame and now it’s much harder to keep the story straight with the media scrutiny. Cori may not live her life to your standards but that doesn’t make her statements untrue!
And the truth comes out…… If it seems to be to good to be true, it’s because it is (Emily! the cats out of the bag now you need to start covering your lies with more lies). There’s a lot of money (Hendricks) keeping the truth from coming out to keep there memory of Ricky intact. Just because your a fan or (fanatic) of hers it doesn’t mean that you ignore a statement that has validity.
God, she wasnt with Ricky when she was 14!!! she said she first met him when she was 15 and then later on didnt specify how old, they started dating!
search ricky hendrick in facebook, its a public figure. Youll see Emily and ricky in there so many pictures and comments of people who know them, her daughter just looks like him too.
Go the facebook and search Memory of Ricky Hendrick and under the family photos youll see bunch of pictures of emily and rick together and youll see one with Emily’s wearing an engagement ring, same ring that she was wearing at the bachelor show, so stop shes not lying!
I read the story and they’re not saying Emily never dated Ricky–it’s that she made up the engagement.

Then how do you explain the photo of Emily and Ricky together with the engagement ring on her finger?

Truth is truth! just because your a fan of Emily’s you can’t ignore that there’s a lot of holes in Emily’s and Ricky’s parents story regarding the engagement and Emily’s fear of the racing tracks, as she has worked there promoting it before. IF you are a NASCAR fan you knew this before anyone else. Google Ricky’s plane crash. There are even pics of Emily with Rick and Linda (Ricky’s parents) recently dedicating a wing from a hospital. They were HS sweethearts.. my god, it’s not rocket science. I knew when they first aired her story on the Bachelor the first night..I said “That’s Rick Hendricks son’s plane crash they are talking about”.

Cori is obviously searching for attention. With a high profile contestant, i would bet the show’s producers have done some investigating into her past. Cori is trying to tarnish the Hendricks and anyone associated Emily.
Here are my perceptions of the situation:
Emily lived in west Virginia, Ricky in Charlotte nc. Emily and ricky’s families both vacation in florida. Ricky and em meet discover that their families are building vacation homes next to eachother. At this time Emily and Ricky become friends like she says. They talk, stay in touch, etc. She is 15 like she says, Ricky is 20 or 21. They are not dating at this time because it wouldn’t even be legal. Emily has her own life, Ricky has his, he dates and becomes engaged for a short time to cori tietsort. He soon dumps cori. By this time it’s 03 and suddenly em is 18! And legal! They get together and cori has been jealous ever since. Emily and Ricky get engaged. ( pictures show her obviously sporting her pink engagement ring) six months later in 04 he tragically passes away, em is just a few weeks prego…. Rest is history.
Cori needs to get over the fact that Emily was ricky’s true love and she was forgotten about.
about the NASCAR date, Emily had a tough time with that Vegas racetrack specifically because that was where ricky’s car crash happened in 02 that left him injured and ended his career as a driver. It was his last race. Also Emily had to drive a race car and she said the only time she ever was in a race car was with Ricky driving. So it’s not NASCAR she had a tough time remembering, it was those specifics.
Emily is 100% telling the truth. She is good sweet girl. I can’t believe how many people are quick to bash her. Why? Because the world is so jaded they don’t believe that a true good, kind, decent person really exists anymore? It has to be seedy and tawdry?? I’m a NASCAR fan and a big Team Hendrick fan. I knew about Emily even before she landed on The Bachelor. Emily is the real deal.

Cori Kurek is crazy. After all these years she is still bitter and pissed that Ricky broke off the engagement (even if back then she claimed that she was the one to have called off the wedding). It is sad to read that In Touch magazine would publish such a horrible story without getting their facts straight, causing more pain to 2 families that have already been through enough. This is crazy that people are so worked up about this. I personally really like Emily. I don’t think for one second that ABC would cast her if her background check wasn’t clear. I just don’t think she is full of lies either. Plus- I have been with my hubby for so long, if someone asked how long- I’d say 10 or 11 years. Some things you just don’t remember. Its the big picture here- like Emily’s daughter which is more important than some date she might of incorrectly stated. Seriously people need to chill out.

Emily Maynard, who was engaged to marry Ricky Hendrick (Rick’s son), is expected to give birth in late June. Ricky Hendrick and nine other Hendrick family members, employees and friends were killed in the crash of a private plane Oct. 24 last year near Martinsville, Va. Ricky did not know he was going to become a father before the plane crash, Hendrick said. Maynard was only a few weeks into the pregnancy at the time and had not had it confirmed.
“Emily came over to the house the night after the memorial service and told us [Hendrick and his wife, Linda] she was pregnant,” Hendrick said. “At the lowest time of our life, it was like a miracle that happened for us because we get a chance to have a piece of Ricky left.”
Hendrick said the mother-to-be hasn’t decided on the baby’s full name, “but she has told us she’s going to call her Rickie.”
After months of dizzying pain and grief, the baby’s birth will be a remarkable event that will energize two families, Hendrick said.
Its funny how the Cori girl said that she was the one really engaged to Ricky. I have seen tons of pictures of Ricky & Emily, but I have not seen one of Ricky & Cori. This girls is needs real help. To go after an innocent girl like Emily is very cruel. Cori you need to MYOB and get a life and leave Emily & Rickys family alone.
