Carrie Ann Inaba is engaged – and the proposal moment was broadcast live on Live with Regis and Kelly! According to US Weekly, Carrie, the Dancing with the Stars judge who is filling in for Kelly Ripa while she’s on vacation, interviewed eliminated dancer Mike Catherwood before Regis began to read a letter from a viewer. The man was asking advice about how to propose to his girlfriend.
Soon Carrie Ann’s boyfriend Jesse Sloan came out from backstage, carrying a huge diamond ring. ”I struggle to find the words to express what you mean to me,” Jesse, 39, told Carrie, 43, as she teared up. “You’re an inspiration. You’re everything to me. Will you marry me?” he asked.
“Yes,” she said. “I will marry you.”

Just a few moments before, Carrie had said that rumors of their engagement weren’t true – but she had said in a previous interview that she was anticipating a summer wedding. The couple has been dating for about two years.
Carrie recently shared a bunch of her health and fitness tips with Prevention magazine. She also talked about her old Cougar habits: “I’m a cougar, self-proclaimed [laughs]. I’ve always gone out with much younger guys,” she said. “But I rushed into relationships before really getting to know the person. What would come up as a warning sign within the first two weeks of dating would usually be the exact reason the relationship would end!”
It sounds as though this younger man is the one. Congrats, you two!
