Maksim Chmerkovskiy DWTS 2011 Fall: “I’ll Be Okay” (WATCH)!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy gave everyone a little bit of a scare during last night’s Dancing with the Stars performance when his leg gave out mid-routine and resulted in a tumble alongside Kirstie Alley.

The judges, Brooke Burke, the live audience and viewers at home were all very concerned about Maks’ injury. After it happened, it appeared as though Maks was going to stop but he ended up continuing with the routine, earning him and Kirstie an impressive 21/30.

Afterwards, many were wondering whether Maksim would return to the competition but, rest assured, he’s not going anywhere.

“I’ll be fine. I know the troupe is looking going, ‘Oh, I’ve got to stand in.’ No, no, no. I’ll be okay,” he told PEOPLE, adding that his injury will “have to wait until the show is over.”

“[After the finale] on May 24 we’ll talk about this,” he said. “Until then, you don’t have to worry.”

Now that’s dedication!

Check out Maks’ fall on last night’s episode and watch how professionally he pushes through the pain to deliver an outstanding performance!

  1. my girl kristie and her fine partner maks look good and are doing a great job! i hate how some radio stations think its funny and joke about it. i just want to tell them to shut up!!!

  2. Kirsty delivered a superbe, stellar performance in spite of the fall – which was NOT her fault. She recovered beautifully and deserved all the 7s. Maksim has been an excellent tutor in all the seasons, he is extremely talented and the muscle spasm was a fluke. I hope they get voted through to the next round. They deserve it.
