Lauren Conrad in Allure: “I’m Not a Sexy Person,” While Ashley Tisdale Goes Nude
Fashion icon Lauren Conrad graces the cover of Allure’s spring “Nude” issue, but don’t expect to see any naked photos of her inside. “I’m not a sexy person. I’m OK with it,” she said. “I’ve never been the sexy girl. Whenever I’ve had a boyfriend, he’s always been like, ‘Oh, you’re cute.’” What?? Girl, you are sexy! Please!
But it’s understandable that the 25 year-old author and fashion designer is self-conscious. When news of her upcoming fashion line, Paper Crown, hit the media, headlines were cruel. “It wasn’t ‘Lauren Debuts Her Line’; it was ‘Lauren Debuts a Fuller Figure,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, no!’ because I’d put on a few pounds,” she said. Now, she’s developed a tactic for dealing with the relentless paparazzi: “You have two good angles and a hundred bad ones,” she said. ”If I’m shopping and I see paparazzi, my bag goes directly to my thighs.”
While Lauren kept her clothes on for the gorgeous magazine shoot, four celebs DID decide to strip down: Keri Hilson, Bridget Moynahan, Ashley Tisdale, and Kaley Cuoco. “I’ve always wanted to be sure my parents approve of what I do,” Ashley said. “Even with my tattoos, my mom went with me. The ‘believe’ tattoo is because my mom always told me to believe.”
The Hellcats star wanted to prove to everybody that she’s all grown up. “I’m 25, almost 26, but people think of me as much younger because I look young,” she says. “Being in this shoot was me saying, ‘I’m not just the young girl everybody thinks I am. I’m actually a woman.’” Message received, lady! You look great!
