Sugar Ray Leonard was one of the most intriguing contestants on the 2011 season of Dancing with the Stars. His quick feet and positive attitude made him one of the more enjoyable celebrities to watch this season but that didn’t stop him from being voted off this week.
Last night, it was announced that Sugar Ray Leonard and his partner Anna were eliminated from the competition, leaving stars with lower scores from the judges (like Kendra Wilkinson) still in the running for the mirrorball trophy.
The question is, did Sugar Ray really deserve to leave the competition so early?
While many might answer that question with “no,” it was clearly the viewers and fans that are responsible for Sugar Ray’s exit.
Going into last night’s show, Kendra had the lowest score on the leaderboard meaning she must have secured enough fan votes to keep her in the competition.
Even the judges were surprised over Sugar Ray’s elimination.

Such a rip off, they kept Kristie alley on and took off my Sugar Ray…. it’s so fixed…..
Kendra is afraid of letting go of her band of gold and putting all her heart into the dancing……she is dancing but holding on to the thought that he is not my husband and obviously stiffness takes place and she loses the flow other than that she is great….come on Kendra you are better than that
I don’t think sugar ray robinson should
have been eliminated. instead kristie alley should have gone home. she fell and that alone should have been reason to eliminated.
First of all, Sugar Rae’s name is Leonard, not Robinson and, second, Kirsty fell because of a malfunction with her shoe. Kirsty is a good dancer, much better than Kendra who somewhat reminds of Kate Gosselin with her attitude. But I have to say my all-time favourite is Ralph Macchio; his Romeo and Juliet waltz was absolutely breathtaking. The next one to go should be Kendra; do us all a favour and let her go.
my wife ask me to look this up for her….i stopped watching the show two seasons ago. It is just too frustrating to see good dancers get voted off and lousy dancers remain…I think this will be my wifes last season…id rather watch old re-runs.
