The celebrity contestants on Dancing with the Stars are generally the ones to worry about falling on the dance floor. Well, tonight, it was one of the professional dancers to hit the floor during the routine – and it wasn’t Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
Karina Smirnoff – partner of Ralph Macchio – took a tumble on the dance floor during their samba as she caught herself on Ralph’s coat and plunged onto the hardwood surface.
It was brought up a lot afterwards, by the judges and the hosts Tom and Brooke. The question is, should Ralph be punished in his scores because of something his professional partner did? It appears the judges don’t think so, since Ralph still managed to walk away with all 8’s.
Seems like it’s the professional dancers this year who tend to mess up on the dance floor. A few weeks ago, Maksim’s leg gave out while trying to execute his routine with Kirstie Alley.
Maybe the professionals should spend a little more time practicing. Just kidding! Accidents happen!
