Okay .. This show ALMOST lost me today.
I have to start this by saying that while I wasn’t as impressed with the performers as I was with the first couple of episodes of The Voice – The few amazing artists that did perform tonight totally turned it around for me. And the twist at the end? Definitely sweet to see some of the performers from last week back again!
Julie Eason – Loved her! Thought the song Mercy was perfect for her voice – and just loved the character and raspiness of her voice.
Emily Valentine – Emily was the first singer who impressed me tonight. I loved the rasp in her voice. Although I didn’t catch the song – anyone?
Devon Barley – I don’t know what it was – but I just thought he was great! I loved the fact that he dropped out of med school (don’t like that’s a good thing. .but he did follow his dream) and the song he chose.
Dia Frampton – “Bubbly” Cute song but sung so differently than I expected. I really liked the uniqueness of her voice. I like how Blake described it as “Earthy.”
** Honorable Mention: Nakia – It took so much guts to sing “Forget You” and he really got the audience going which was cool. And there was something about his voice… when I figure it out I feel like I can make him a favorite.
