The Voice: Tv Show Twist – What did you think?

So tonight’s The Voice ended with a bit of a twist.

All the blind auditions were over and only Cee Lo had filled up his group with 8 performers. Carson comes out and has a chat with the group and lets them know that they’re bringing back performers for a second chance. The coaches (minus Cee Lo) still had to listen “blind” (with their backs turned) and they had to go through another round. They had four performers to pick – and they got to choose 8 of whom they wanted to hear again!

So who made it?

Lily Elise: Christina said that she felt very bad for not picking her the first time around but she didn’t make the same mistake twice!

Jared Blake: Blake Shelton wished he had picked him the first time around and this father of six got his chance! He’s got a country voice – but will Blake push him country or rock?

At this point, Christine, Blake & Cee Lo have all the people they need so all that’s left was for Adam to pick up two more singers.

Casey Weston – Next up was Casey Weston singing “Stupid Boy” and Adam snagged her up.

Cherie Oakley - Singing Blake’s fiances song didn’t work for her the first round of today’s episode but Adam chose her when she sang Rolling in the Deep at the end of the show.

I found the whole episode a bit rushed. Next week the coaches will work with their singers and then watch them battle. Only one from each group will survive! I can’t wait!

What did you think about the twist? Do you agree with their choices?

  1. Just curious–do Blake’s homophobic comments mean the openly gay performers are there strictly as tokens?

  2. You blew it, the last singer Blake picked was Angela Wolff

  3. Her name is Angela Wolff that Blake picked, the last singer
