Cascada just released the song “San Francisco” from her upcoming fourth studio album “Original Me” hitting European stores on May 23. I’m not sure what she was thinking because it seems like “California Girls” except chalk full of a bunch of references that no one outside of San Francisco are going to understand much less Europe where the album is set to hit first.
Hmm.. I wonder what Natlie Horler, Lead singer of Cascada thinks of the resemblance? Is she trying to ride on Katy Perry’s coat tails in Europe?
With lyrics like:
“Wake me up in San Francisco/ We knew the power is in your head, girl/Party everywhere, girl”
and – “One, two, three /Let’s bring it on / Dj play my favorite beats
All night long /Poppin’ some bottles, champagne, red wine/And we both giddy up on the rooftop/And watch the city lights”
It’s hard to hear the song without trying to compare it to Katy Perry in your head – But that’s just me.
Here’s San Francisco:

What’s your opinion? Do you like Cascada’s new song? Does it sound like Katy Perry? and lastly which do you like more?

No, it is not a copy. It sounds similar, but so do all these pop songs.
It is a total rip-off! The song is from the most ironically named ablum ever!
Original Me? Never! Cascada (Cr@pcada more like) have never done anything original!
First album – full of covers. Second album – full of covers.
Third album – lead song rips-off Lady GaGa. Fourth album – lead song rips-off Kate Perry
Hopefully this latest rubbish will be the end of Cascada!.
Didn’t have to listen to either song. They’re both probably just a rebranding of the same shitty pop song that’s been on the radiowaves for year. Learn to music newfags.
